expensive hobby. As subscriptions to all genealogy websites can added up and
being quite expensive, from <a href="https://www.ancestry.ca/">Ancestry.ca,</a> <a href="http://MyHeritage.com">MyHeritage.com</a>, <a href="http://Newspapers.com">Newspapers.com</a>,
<a href="https://www.fold3.com/">Fold3.com </a>among others, DNA Kits for family members can add up, ordering offline
records and pension files (I haven’t gotten to this yet but have looked into it
and it can get pricey)</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I thought I would share my tips for how I have been working
on my family genealogy on a budget.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><ol style="text-align: left;"><li><a href="http://FamilySearch.org">FamilySearch.org</a> it is a free genealogy website for doing
research – I am currently doing most of my research on <a href="http://FamilySearch.org">FamilySearch.org</a> to save

In the person notes I have created a timeline of Jules life, with transcription of the records I have found in bold to stand out. In the research notes I have note that all facts have noted and linked to that person. Also have a research log show what has been done so far. In the research notes some stuff is in bold that need to look into or it is something I learned form someone else in the family's research and need to look into more.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">So hopefully the example of how I keep my person notes and research notes in Family Tree Maker 2019 will be helpful to others on how to keep your notes.</span></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTlghHVrJiWOq4cflwhB3MDlF7gE6A0JDvZxyrrs30W8xr5bqURxQg28TAOnzY_ZbKAD1mhEsfmOOG-plbEqvPL02Bk2I0BxwyHU9KitDAs3QYtdtO2FD_TVu1zFhtDsNqb_uWWwS4K3c7iAjG9-DpV4sTYZ1zvbPXSYfJhwGL2Qo9IEHZNdOuBkIELOG_/s4032/person%20notes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTlghHVrJiWOq4cflwhB3MDlF7gE6A0JDvZxyrrs30W8xr5bqURxQg28TAOnzY_ZbKAD1mhEsfmOOG-plbEqvPL02Bk2I0BxwyHU9KitDAs3QYtdtO2FD_TVu1zFhtDsNqb_uWWwS4K3c7iAjG9-DpV4sTYZ1zvbPXSYfJhwGL2Qo9IEHZNdOuBkIELOG_/w640-h480/person%20notes.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Person Notes</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><p><b><u><span style="font-size: medium;">Example of Person Notes</span></u></b></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">1900 - Jules Hormidas was born on Jun 28, 1900 in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. In 1974, Jules and Dora were living in Pembroke and he was a retired scaled (someone who could evaluate how much lumber would come out of a bush). Pepere Dagenais was a career lumberjack who grew up on Vinton, in Pontiac, lived his early married life in Otter Lake Quebec, and moved to River road in Pembroke in 1972. HERE!!! I know that it has been awhile since I blogged anything on doing
genealogy research. My last post was in 2019 but I have still been really busy
working on my family tree. Just been forgetting to blog about what I have been
working on.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: medium; line-height: 115%;">I have spent
lots of time working in Family Tree Maker 2019 created timelines for everyone
in my family tree in the person notes. Also, transcribed all records with the
information that has been learned from that record. The transcription of
records is in bold to stand out in the timeline to know what has been found.
Types of records transcribed is newspaper announcements (birth, engagement,
wedding, anniversary, death etc), family bibles (also noted who’s handwriting
it’s it), church records, census records, military records, etc.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> In the research notes in Family Tree Maker
2019, I have noted that the facts have been noted and linked from all sources,
also have created a research log (I did use the posts on my blog to make notes
of what has been done). In the research log going forward keep track of the
searches done and what records have been located.</span><o:p style="font-size: 14pt;"></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYLPo9D55PuK7qb-AuJNdLhPrZjJwyLhQvXc_ot6UfVAjSNhLfsAX4Ila2Gk_FqBCMIr95bVugr16DwJVdbw9S9IgkyzfpOSrhacgGVFuB7rDRbMy6LhQYlzhxYiQ1rH42iE3LlizflbYAaEll48sZWQNDeQXeSAYt1t0YzCCMHEVgOgkXuPf-eihr_pcm/s4032/person%20notes.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYLPo9D55PuK7qb-AuJNdLhPrZjJwyLhQvXc_ot6UfVAjSNhLfsAX4Ila2Gk_FqBCMIr95bVugr16DwJVdbw9S9IgkyzfpOSrhacgGVFuB7rDRbMy6LhQYlzhxYiQ1rH42iE3LlizflbYAaEll48sZWQNDeQXeSAYt1t0YzCCMHEVgOgkXuPf-eihr_pcm/w320-h240/person%20notes.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">Person Notes For Jules Dagenais</span></td></tr></tbody></table><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVksihGop1uRWWEwJbowXusp-YhnevGjbxH34Rptk97VR8BpOSpwkBbMdkSUtsgXdciEuFJ8wZ0gheEgLYRqnINfNWmwiv3Ah2HbTeGEDmtLxKlUW3UhJGYYTzS0N0hgQnRx3GruRcoirwK6h3FuV_UrOke0wjHY-8rqCUgCwJLSbi_WXEIfA5R7agPfPs/s4032/research%20notes.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVksihGop1uRWWEwJbowXusp-YhnevGjbxH34Rptk97VR8BpOSpwkBbMdkSUtsgXdciEuFJ8wZ0gheEgLYRqnINfNWmwiv3Ah2HbTeGEDmtLxKlUW3UhJGYYTzS0N0hgQnRx3GruRcoirwK6h3FuV_UrOke0wjHY-8rqCUgCwJLSbi_WXEIfA5R7agPfPs/w320-h240/research%20notes.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">Research Notes For Jules Dagenas</span></td></tr></tbody></table><p></p>
